Expandable Baton/Impact Weapon

Used properly, the baton can be a useful tool in combating resistance and increasing officer safety.  However, used improperly, it can be a source of injury to the officer and liability for both the officer and the agency.  This program also examines how other objects or weapons of opportunity can be used by the officer to protect themselves when a baton is not available.  This programs examines:
