Basic Handgun Instruction
Through lecture, class discussion and instructor/shooter demonstration, this course explains the basic fundamentals of marksmanship, which are: sight alignment/sight picture, trigger control, stance, and grip.

Upon satisfactory completion of the course, participants will be able to complete a Semiautomatic Pistol Practical (SAPP) and/or Teach Backs (TB), demonstrating their knowledge of the subject matter in an instructor level class.

Program objectives:

Demonstrate Safe Firearm Handling in accordance with all Range Safety Rules.
Identify and/or discuss the nomenclature, technical data, disassembly, care and cleaning of a handgun.
Demonstrate the fundamentals of handgun handling skills.
Demonstrate the fundamentals of marksmanship and proper shooting positions.
